Criteria for a Good Idea

Novelty

Easy to overlook.

Uncertainty

Tell the view you are doing something so ________, that the outcome is uncertain. Think about what the person is curious about that you can exploit to get them to watch till the end. What problem/question gets resolved through the content. A good idea may have many of these!

"What does $1 get you at Starbucks?" "What book/verse is the best to read every morning?"

Knowledge Gaps

"I know something that you don't, which is why you have to watch."

"I did X so you don't have to."

Complexity

Think shakesperian twist. If the hook delivers the problem and percieved solution, but the content applies a twist, they will watch it again from a new perspective. In the world of disposable, complexity awards longevity.
